Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use form the end-user licence agreement for Fuel Roam and apply to the Fuel Roam website, mobile applications, API and related services. By using Fuel Roam, you agree to these terms. Fuel Roam is a United Kingdom fuel-price discovery service.

Fuel-price information

Fuel Roam displays forecourt and price information sourced from the UK Government Fuel Finder service. Prices can change after they are reported, may be delayed, and may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. Always confirm the displayed forecourt price before purchasing fuel.

Smart Value

Smart Value is a Fuel Roam estimate that combines reported pump prices with assumptions about distance, vehicle fuel economy and tank size. It is intended to help compare options, not to guarantee a saving. Actual road distance, traffic, driving style, fuel consumption and prices can differ from the estimate.

Directions and route features

Fuel Roam can hand a selected destination to third-party navigation services such as Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. Fuel Along Your Route may use third-party routing and postcode services to calculate a route and identify fuel stations close to it. Navigation, traffic information, postcode lookup and route guidance supplied by third parties are subject to their own terms and availability.

Fuel Roam+

The core Fuel Roam nearby fuel finder and Smart Value features can be used without a paid subscription. Fuel Roam+ adds premium features including 30-day price history, price-drop alerts, Fuel Along Your Route and saved journeys.

Fuel Roam+ is offered through monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions, and may also be offered as a one-time Founder Lifetime purchase. The exact price shown in the App Store, Google Play or other payment provider at the time of purchase is the price that applies.

Auto-renewable subscriptions

Fuel Roam+ Monthly renews every month and Fuel Roam+ Annual renews every year unless cancelled before renewal. For purchases made through Apple, payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off before the end of the current subscription period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless the payment provider states otherwise.

Purchases made through Google Play or another supported payment provider are managed through that provider and are subject to its applicable billing and cancellation rules. Fuel Roam does not store your payment-card details.

Founder Lifetime

Where offered, Founder Lifetime is a non-consumable purchase that provides access to the Fuel Roam+ entitlement for the lifetime of the Fuel Roam service and the purchasing account. It does not guarantee that every future product, service or materially different feature will be included.

Android Founder testing programme

Fuel Roam may offer a limited Android Founder closed-testing programme. Places are limited and applications may be selected or declined. A Founder reward is for genuine participation in the testing programme, including remaining opted into the closed test for the required period, completing the testing checklist and providing private feedback. The reward is not conditional on a positive opinion, public rating or Play Store review.

Where the programme advertises complimentary Founder Roam+ after successful completion, the entitlement is personal to the eligible participant and their FuelRoam account, has no cash value and may not be transferred or resold. Fuel Roam may withhold or withdraw a programme reward where participation was fraudulent, automated, duplicated or otherwise abusive.

Price alerts

Price alerts are based on the fuel-price information available to Fuel Roam when its data is refreshed. An alert may arrive after a forecourt price has changed again, and delivery of an email or in-app alert is not guaranteed. Price alerts are informational and should not be relied on as a guarantee of a particular pump price.

Saved journeys

Saved journeys store destination and fuel preferences so you can run the journey again from your current location. Route results, distances, journey times, detours and estimated savings are calculated values and can vary from the route ultimately provided by your chosen navigation app.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your Fuel Roam account credentials secure. Do not share an account in a way that interferes with normal service operation or attempts to avoid applicable purchase rules. You can initiate deletion of your Fuel Roam account from within the app. Deleting a Fuel Roam account does not itself cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google; those subscriptions must be managed with the store that billed them.

Licence

Fuel Roam grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app and service for lawful personal use in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, interfere with or exploit Fuel Roam except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Apple App Store users

If you obtained Fuel Roam through the Apple App Store, these terms apply between you and Fuel Roam, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Fuel Roam. To the extent required by Apple's applicable App Store terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use and may enforce the relevant provisions against you.

Availability

Fuel Roam may change, add or remove features, or temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, upstream data outages, routing-provider outages or other operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to misuse the API, bypass subscription verification, interfere with the service, extract credentials, overwhelm the service with automated traffic, scrape the service in breach of applicable rights, or use Fuel Roam unlawfully.

Liability

Fuel Roam is provided as a fuel-price comparison and navigation-assistance tool. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded under UK law. Subject to those rights, Fuel Roam is not responsible for losses caused solely by relying on stale or inaccurate third-party fuel-price, postcode, route or navigation information.

Privacy

Your use of Fuel Roam is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is used to provide and secure the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Fuel Roam changes or where legal, operational or store requirements make an update necessary. Material changes affecting subscriptions or user rights will be communicated where reasonably required. The current version will remain available at this address.
